Q: Do the vests come in sizes?
A: No and Yes. The vests are "one size fits all". You can, however, order an Extra Large in the Super Tour Model or for smaller riders, a City Tour Vest, for riders under 5'3". The vests are adjustable by four 1" straps with FastexTM fasteners.

Q:  Do the vests come in various colors?
A:  No. We tested all of the colors of vest material and stripes. The most effective is the black body with the Lime-Yellow stripe because what you want to have is contrast. Many public organizations are converting to the Lime-Yellow colors. You have seen Fire Departments, Departments of Transportation, Emergency Vehicles and School Signs converted to this color. The Lime-Yellow occurs less in nature and man-made environments.

Q:  Are the vests used mainly for night riding?
A:  No. We highly recommend that the vest be left hanging on your riding jacket or suit. Many of our riders tell of more "near misses" during the day or dusk than at night. The vest is effective in rain, fog, cloudy and inclement weather. We highly recommend the vest be worn at all times you are piloting the bike.

Q:  Will the stripes lose their reflectivity over time?
A:  No. The glass prisms inside the middle layer are unaffected by reasonable wear. Greg Miller, BMW Touring Rider, has had a vest over 100,000 miles and still wears the Vision Reflective Vest.

Q:  I ride two up most of the time. Should my passenger wear the vest or should I?
A:  The pilot should wear the vest. Studies show that the most probable cause of accident when the vehicle driver does not see the motorcycle is turning in front of the bike or pulling out perpendicular to the motorcycle. Ideally both should wear the vests to give maximum visibility.

Q:  Is there special cleaning needed for the vests?
A:  No. We highly recommend only a damp cloth and water. Nothing else.

How do you store the vests?
A:  We recommend hanging them on your riding jacket or suit. If you must store it, make sure it is dry and roll it top to bottom. When rolling, the looser the better. But we recommend strongly that it remain on your riding jacket.

Q:  Why buy a VISION VEST over others on the market?
A:  Several good reasons. Our vests are made one at a time, not in a garment factory. Riders make our vests. The black mesh is beach erosion material designed to be sandblasted every day. Our vests are cut larger with a 1" deeper tail and 1" wider front panels. We use 1" webbing with FastexTM connectors not single loop ties. Our vests are reinforced-stitched at all stress points. Our zippers are rust proof YKK ski zippers. We use a more labor-intensive "lock stitch" rather than the unraveling-prone "chain stitch". We keep our prices under the competition and make much better vests.

Q:  Do you stand behind your vests?
A:  Most certainly! We are leaders in this regard. We don't just offer a 30 day warranty. If at any time the rider is dissatisfied we will refund the money or make an exchange. Of course the issue of outright abuse of the vest is not covered. But we have exchanged a vest that was over a year old because we thought it was the right thing to do. See if anybody will do that. Anybody!
